Description: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar has launched a Centre of Excellence in Cybersecurity with financial support from the Ministry of Minority Affairs under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK). The Centre has been established to strengthen India's cybersecurity ecosystem through advanced training, research, innovation, and consultancy. It aims to train around 4,000 learners, including nearly 2,000 students from minority communities, thereby promoting inclusive access to specialised cybersecurity education. The initiative will benefit students, research scholars, educational institutions, and working professionals while addressing the increasing demand for skilled cybersecurity experts. The Centre reflects NIT Jalandhar's commitment to research excellence, digital innovation, and national capacity building in emerging technologies.
